#POLITICS AND THE GREAT WHY ( Part Two )

We, Americans have lived insolated lives from violent civil rebellions and the direct
Effect of war’s turmoil: The bullets and bombs shattering homes and communities.
Yet we, Americans have postured ourselves with an OMG appalled sanctimonious attitude
About the measures our government has needed to employ to insure the continued existence
Our luxury to freely and comfortably thrive as: Families, friends, communities and a society.

The closest resemblance Americans have of a war torn image has been the aftermath
of our natural disasters from hurricanes, tornadoes and severe flooding. However
There is one significant difference between a war torn country and natural disaster events.
It is a people’s opportunity to unify and rebuild verses the civil liberties of a people
being either fought for or the being forced into submission:
The blood shed, The lives imprisoned with fear.

Thus we have a Bradley Manning and a Edward Snowden.
Are they Heroes?

WHO’S REALITY

Events and Circumstances
The lack of, The omission of
Life’s Sweet Romances

Events and Circumstances
Hammering Us
The Rippling Effect moving us down upon our knees
Repeatedly, The Branches of Our Simple Lives – Snapped
Our Harkening echoing across the landscape of Our Trials and Tribulations
It is as though Our Tears are just watering weeds
And the Mighty Hand of the Status Qua will not let us go

Two Beams ~ Our Tragedies and Our Comfortable Nonchalance of Privilege
America’s Via Dolorosa
Sacrifice and Struggle, Sacrifice and Struggle
The Working Poor shall bear the Our Crown Of Thorns
So We kick the can of day to day living
And whistle a tune of ordinary satisfaction as illustrious living
When there is no wind or current on the river
And we silently worship the flowers
Of Apathy and Ignored Dissatisfaction
And make bounty upon our tables
Technology’s gadgets and textiles made in other countries
My Mother’s sewing machine no longer hums
Thank God She taught me: The needle, the thread, the thimble

The Milk and Honey upon this Dear, Preciuos Land
Is Our Belief that We, The ordinary person ~ Is Powerless ~
And the reverberations of such a belief ~ Is ~
That They ~ Not We ~ Have Won The Game

Power and Deception
Are the reflections in the Mirror ~ Grinning ~
~ This Shall Always Be Your Reality ~
