My Tears witnessed
Folks, Peoples ~ You and I and We
Black, White, Hispanic, Asian,
Native-American, Middle Eastern
Leaves on Our Country’s Tree
Heartbeats rushed to the streets
With sour notes of disbelief upon their faces
Yet
For those who can not realize to understand
Or stubbornly refuse to understand
In these days of Continuing ~ The Wading into the River

The Bones of Heritage and Soil
An Honored Coming Forth
Black Men, Successful Men
History Burning Tears in Their Hearts ~ The Frustrations
The Dark Alleys of Struggle and Perseverance
The having to double time march through life
With the loads of stereotypes, stigmas
And the tangled bushes of thorny realities on their backs
Ports of successfulness become dry docks
To repair the soul’s ships believed forever healed
Dust to Dust
Ashes to Ashes
The broken chains are affixed to a black man bones
~ It Seems Like ~ ~ ~ Forever ~
The Bugle tones are whispering taps
~ Not to Lay Dead ~
~ But to Arise with Honor ~
